He creates sculptures made of welded steel mainly in Niigata. How does the industrial technology of welding affect sculpture production? How does your own creative activity change as you actually engage in the welding industry? What is the gap between industry and art? What are the effects of iron and welding on modeling? I create works that are not bound by theory or system, and are not based on social meaning, self-expression, or admiration, and that my works stand on their own in the world with a firm intention.
